Voltei essa semana de uma viagem fantástica ao coração da Amazônia, vou contar um pouquinho do que eu vi, fiz e do que eu senti na Pousada Uacari, situada na Reserva de Desenvolvimento Sustentável Mamirauá.

I returned this week from a fantastic trip to the heart of the Amazon, I'll tell you a little of what I saw, did and what I felt in Uacari Lodge, located in the Mamirauá Sustainable Development Reserve.
Parto de Tefé as 13 horas em lanchas que são batizadas com nomes de animais da Amazônia. Durante a viagem, consegui ver muitas paisagens bonitas e o água que começa a baixar.
Leaves Tefé at 13:00pm in boats that are baptized with the Amazon animal names. During the trip, I could see many beautiful landscapes and the water starts to drop.
Na pousada, o primeiro momento é de apresentação!
At the lodge, the first moment is presentation!

O primeiro passeio foi bem básico, mas vimos muitas coisas
legal.
The first tour was very basic, but we saw a lot of cool
things.
E o amanhecer visto da Pousada? Sem palavras.
And the dawn seen from the Lodge? Speechless
Na minha primeira caminhada pela Pousada eu já encontro um
jacaré grande nadando bem próximo.
On my first walk through the Lodge I find a large
alligator swimming very close.
Foi a primeira vez que vi e fotografei a cigana, um dos pássaros mais
lindos que eu conheço.
It was the first time I saw and photographed the Hoatzin, one of the most
beautiful birds I know.
Fizemos uma visita a Comunidade São Raimundo, onde o Presidente Sr. Magrinho explicou varias coisas sobre as pessoas que moram ali e sobre o estilo de vida.
We visited the São Raimundo Community, where President Mr. Magrinho explained many things about the people who live there and the lifestyle.

Artesanato possuía muitas coisas bem
interessantes.
The Handcraft House had many very interesting things.
Eu estava preparado para uma trilha noturna. Contato maior
com vida selvagem, mas foi incrível.
I was prepared for a night trail. Contact with most wildlife,
but it was amazing.
A caminho de outra trilha com o Tom e os outros visitantes, eu
aproveitei para aprender ainda mais inglês com os visitantes.
Going to do another traill with Tom and the other visitors, I took
the opportunity to learn even more English.
A Samaúma é a maior árvore da Amazônia.
The Samúma is the largest tree in the Amazon.
Trilhas guiadas por Guias que nasceram e convivem na reserva.
Trails guided by guides who were born and live in the reserve.
Essa é a Bianca, uma das Guias Naturalista da pousada, que trabalha a 8 meses na reserva, porem já conhece bastante de tudo, e também é um amor de pessoa.
This is Bianca, one of the lodge naturalist guides, who works eight months in reserve, however already knows enough of everything, and she is helpefull.
Uma coisa bem interessante no serviço da Pousada, é a
Segurança e o Conhecimentos dos guias. Pessoas que gostam de conversar e
explicar tudo que sabem sobre a vida na várzea.
A very interesting thing in the service of the Lodge is the
security and the knowledge of the guides. People who like to talk and explain
everything they know about life in the floodplain.
Passeio para apreciação do Por-do-sol, uma das melhores partes da visita.
Tour for consideration by the sunsets, one of the best parts of the visit.

Bem, então pude resumir um pouco do meu final de semana na Pousada Uacari, onde eu estou trabalhando recentemente. E com certeza eu sai da reserva entendendo a real dimensão do meu trabalho, e que agora eu tenho na cabeça que eu trabalho para as comunidades que corajosamente encararam o desafio do turismo e mostram sua riqueza para o mundo, Pousada Uacari é muito mais que um empreendimento turístico, eu encarei como um aprendizado do uso sustentável e consciente dos recursos naturais!
Volto para casa com a câmera cheia de fotos e a memória cheia de lembranças da Reserva!
Well, so I could summarize some of my weekend in Uakari Lodge, where I'm working recently. And I certainly leaves the reserve understanding the real dimension of my work, and now I have in my head that I work for the communities who courageously took up the challenge of tourism and show their wealth to the world, Uakari Lodge is much more than a tourist lodge, I faced as a learning sustainable and responsible use of natural resources!
I come home with a camera full of photos and the memory full of memories of the Reserve!
